In The Garden

In The Garden was started from life using a mirror in the back yard of my apartment in Los Angeles. When I moved back to Chicago I finished it in my Wicker Park studio. It was located in the attic of the first Russian Orthodox church in Chicago on Pierce Ave. Adam (the biblical character) is portrayed in the painting as he comes upon Eve discovering the fateful apple.
