Blue Ren was drawn from a live model during figure drawing sessions I hosted in Wicker Park’s Flat Iron Arts Building. It was the first experiment where I used a system of arches to measure from each distance to another in the model’s anatomy. The goal was to achieve a rhythmic quality to the end product.
